About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Specifically, get down and explore Mexico. In general, to create a universal network of creative, evolved souls for the planets reuptake of new self-reflected alignment of the hyper-dimensional info stream.
ABOUT ME
I was born just outside of Philadelphia, 2nd oldest among three sisters and two brothers. Family is the best and we have a large one; my mom was one of ten and dad is one of five. Family reunions are a huge affair. I myself am now a father of three, ages 12, 10 and 8. I graduated from the University of Maryland and have had many great adventures on the east coast, hitchhiking around there. I left Philly, lived in Maryland, moved to Chesapeake Bay, wound up following a girl..what else? .. to Asheville, North Carolina, then moved to Wilmington, spent quality time on the beaches..which I absolutely love. I then moved to Missoula, Montana for 90's decade, then we chose to move among friends in the friendly confines of the Rocky Mountains, Carbondale, Colorado. I have been raising my three kids, and operating my painting company since 2005; got divorce a few years ago and weathered that storm. I believe in the evolution of a global community and that we are entering a new era of openness and true expansion of the all life potentials in all avenues, that we are evolving our souls to greater awareness, harmony, love, living simply, loving and caring for our mutual home planet earth. My greatest asset is my kind heart; I am also funny, and so social, terrible at languages, prone to hang out and play guitar, or whatever musical instruments that are lying around. Loves food, never says no when you ask if I'm hungry. Enjoys games, laughing at silly jokes, can clown around but will jump right in and help take out the garbage, do the dishes, carry heavy items and work until everything is completely finished. I have a Master's degree in Political Science, and wrote Master's thesis on international human rights and wanted to be an international human rights lawyer. I am super content with the way my life is evolving. Believe in going with the flow, spiritual but not religious, and it is more important how you treat others than what you wear, look like, or do for a living. Practicing leading by example how the entire planet can be as one family, for humanity is one family and the earth but one country. Humor is best medicine and best way to living every day in the moment experiencing your bliss...
PHILOSOPHY
This is the hardest, cause my personal philosophy is so rooted in my spirituality, meaning I believe we are all created ever evolving souls learning the lessons of being alive here and now, interacting with other souls and figuring out how to not only evolve individually but collectively here and now on Planet Earth, circa 2012 as this creative experiment/project here on earth moves into the global spiritual civilization phase where we get to learn how to be one people, one community, one giant family, one earth...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am totally new to couchsurfing but not travel. I have travelled all over this country on many road trips, visiting friends and family. How I will participate is similiar to the way I have always lived; show up and be myself, finding space for new friends and new adventures, and always respectful and mindful of the needs and lives of others.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to CouchSurfing, so I'll write more as I experience it!:)
Interests
So many interests, too many to list, but I spend alot of my time listening to music, dancing and singing as I do my dishes, hanging with kids. Love to play musical instruments, jamming with the kiddos, teaching them songs on the various stringed instruments, Can't really play wood, brass or wind...oh well. Hiking, running, climbing, swimming, boating, skiing, snowshoeing, camping, watching baseball and other sports, gardening, cooking, eating and sharing stories with friends, listening to live music, playing and wrting songs on my piano, playing games, reading, writing fiction and verse, taking pics, road trips, exploring, playing, laughing, trying new things, meeting new people, getting lost, getting found and adventures. Enjoy books, especially quirky books that tell history. Love to drink beer and talk philosophy and spirituality long into the wee hours of the night.

Music, Movies, and Books
So many books and movies! Hobbitt and Lord of the Rings were huge as a kid and have read them several times now. I used to read alot of sci-fi/fantasy growing up and thru my 20's. Now I get to revisit alot of really great books as I read to my kids; just finished Tom Sawyer, reading Harry Potter, which my kids absolutely LOVE!.. Jungle Book, by Rudyard Kipling, was fantastic. Also have read just about every religious text I can find, Bhagavad Gita, Quran, Bible, Buddhists, Black Elk, Tao, Confucious, Bahai writings, you name a spiritual tradition and chances are I have the book/text or at least read it. Movies faves, are in no particular order, Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid, Cool Hand Luke, Unforgiven, CaddyShack, Monty Python movies, Mel Brooks movies, Woody Allen's Annie Hall, Fast times at Ridgemont High, Alien, Star Wars, American Graffiti, Diner, Hugo, Rocky - first movie only, Chariots of Fire, Saving Private Ryan, Apocalpse Now, GodFather movies, Pulp Fiction, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Willie Wonka, oh love Roald Dahl books, cant' forget that, only genre won't watch is slasher/horror flicks. Music; first started listening in the1970's, dad turned me on to 50's music, I loved the whole Neil Young, Eagles, Doors, Bob Dylan, the Band, classic rock and detroit motown music, loved 80's 90's surf punk, rock-a-billy, bluegrass, acoustic, about the only thing I don't enjoy is the speed/death metal.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Iraq years ago in 1998 on a humanitarian mission to deliver some food and medicine. We toured the country, visited with the people and spent alot of time among our new Iraqi friends. The sights, the sounds, foods, friends, and the country was so beautiful and awe-inspiring. It leaves me sad thinking about what has befallen their country and families and I would dearly love to go back one day. Other awestruck moments were at each of the births of my three children, definately and lately I have been awestruck by the moments I have been spending with a new friend in my life; and the love and laughter shared in those moments.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that we are all teaching and learning. We are all and will eternally be students and teachers in the free flow exchange of experience and omnipresent spiritual energies in an ever advancing evolving creative project of our souls.
