About Me
Having worked as a Product Manager for 3 years, and loved the job, I still couldn't forego the excitement of being a photographer and creating images and trying to leave behind a legacy which might mean more than digital applications.
I am currently working a day job in TCS for their Nielsen account. And the rest of the time, I travel, make portraits, shoot at select weddings, take up documentary work for NGOs, creating visual as well as written content for them, and lastly fashion assignments is the latest thing on my plate.
I love beer, meat, football, meeting interesting people, growing my circle, being spontaneous and hitting new places - be it cities, countries, bars, cafes or natural retreats.
I am a Bengali, but I’ve been brought up in Mumbai, studied in Bangalore, worked in Pune, Bangalore and now Chennai.
To know more about me or to check out my limited work, you could head over to Instagram @thelightworks. Leave me a message there, and I’d surely respond.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To grow my circle, understand how geographically people are different and similar at the same time, connect with locals wherever I go and show travellers a piece of the city, the way I see it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman
Sapiens by Harari
Calvin and Hobbes
I am open to all kinds of music, meaningful music.
Ambient, Blues, Jazz, House, Dance, EDM, Experimental, Alt Rock, Classic Rock and soft Hindi masterpieces. I also love listening to foreign language songs like Icelandic band Sigur Ros’s songs sung in a made up language (because Icelandic is NOT really a language made for music lol - in their own words)
Movies - I love movies which have a great visual narrative, stellar camera work and a stunning music score.
Stories are overrated.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn anything you’d have to teach me. My philosophy is anyone can teach you anything at any moment in life, you just have to be receptive enough.
I’d love to share my Photography philosophies and techniques - the little that I know.
Countries I’ve Visited
Hong Kong, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
