ABOUT ME

The hardest thing is to objectively speak of oneself. I'd like to think of myself as outgoing and open minded. I study Middle-Eastern and Asian Studies in university and a love for far away places and distant cultures is a big part of me. I'm a bit quiet when I start off but as I warm up to a person I tend to get progressively more talkative.

兴趣

I love to paint. A canvas and some paint and I'm happy almost anywhere. I read a lot when I have the time to lose myself in a book. Sports? I swim and cycle when ever I have the chance but otherwise I'm awfully lazy :).
When it comes to music I'm more into rock, punk and metal with some indie thrown into it. When in doubt I gravitate towards the Doors, Joy Division, Metallica and Florence and the Machine. What else? I cook, when the mood strikes me and can turn out some great dishes, if I do say so myself ;).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

A warm summer night in Estonia with a good friend walking on dirt roads in the countryside and going barefoot because our feet have rebelled miles back. It's a moment I try to recreate every year and it's always truly special.
Something truly magical I have seen is in Lebanon. In Beka valley there are some old Roman ruins - temples mostly - after a long drive in what seems to be lifeless desert you arrive in a small town that hides some of the best preserved ruins of ancient times I have ever seen. I reach then right before sunset and as the sun went down it was almost as if you could be transported back in time. It's something I will never forget.
