About Me

*updated September 2017
Currently in Tsinghua University. Looking forward to visiting few provinces nearby.

Hey there! If you know me well, you'll know that I'm childish, crazy and really outgoing (especially with strangers). Don't think I'll be mature. At the age of 23, I'm trying to be independent (totally spoilt by parents). It amuses me looking at how other people, at a young age, going out to see the world, but of course, I only have the chance to do it now. Hopefully it's not too late. I speak Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Malay and Minnan. (I only speak the Chinese languages but I don't read or write, *loser* LOL)

I'm obsessed with China, maybe it's because I am a Chinese and I don't know my culture well, so it's time for me to catch up. I am a weirdo who love food and music a lot. If you like John Mayer, welcome to the gang! For food, I am a big fan of SPICY food. Yes! I am talking about the level of Chengdu numbing hotpot. People call me a 吃货 too. I'm looking forward to visiting China again.

I play a few musical instruments but I'm never talented. Enjoy live bands! Like to sing, especially A cappella, that harmonizing...wooo!!

If you're an AIESECer, let's be friends. :)
Enjoy volunteering a lot! (To end hunger and poverty, education, children rights) Add me as a friend and send me messages if you are interested to be friends with me. Who knows we can meet up in the future? I'll bring food and souvenirs from Malaysia for you... :)

Manners! Dislike people who don't know how to respect others. Punctuality is something I value a lot. Being late (after 10 mins) is a big turnoff. I judge a lot! I observe when people speak. That's why I like Sociolinguistics!

I'm an introvert but if you know me well, you'll find that I'm annoying. 😁 I always wonder what is life all about. The world is messed up, not even joking.

I like travelling alone because you get the freedom. Loners, you know right? 😉 but it's a pity when it comes to food.

''I love humanity but I hate humans because I see humans but no humanity.''

Planning to visit these places/cities soon: Chengdu&Chongqing, Hangzhou&Shanghai 我爱中国 :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from abroad and to know other cultures better. I'm a Chinese but let me tell you, when I was in China, I got culture shock too (I'm happy to share my experience with you).

In September 2016, I was sad to turn down an offer by a nice guy Alan Hu from Beijing because I need to go back to my country earlier than intended. He was about to be my first host. :( No luck but thank you!

Looking forward to meeting my first host in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: John Mayer (listened to all albums), Wang Feng/ 汪峰, Wang Lee Hom/王力宏, Khalil Fong/ 方大同, The Corrs, Norah Jones, ABBA, Tom Chang/张雨生, Priscilla Ahn,

Movies: I just can't forget about my teenager movies :(

Books: As long as I love the synopsis, I'll read it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Not taking a shower for a week for 3 times (gross, I know)
-Getting lost in China at night alone. No biggie but I'm proud of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Look at SHARE

Learn: Having an average life in Malaysia so when I'm in other countries and I encountered with things that I've never gone through before, I'll be uncomfortable with it but give me a day or two and I'll adapt to the surrounding.

Share: I'm not a master so I've nothing to teach. More to like sharing. I can share my experience with you and I'm very happy if a person is willing to open up and share his/her thoughts or experience with me. Life is all about sharing isn't it?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Bringing you souvenirs from Malaysia and cook some Malaysian dishes. I am willing to share the Malaysian/Chinese Malaysian culture. :)
