Overview
About Me
I'm an engineer, a peace corps volunteer, an environmentalist and now a first time mom. I'm not doing any hosting or surfing or even traveling now, and certainly miss it. I look forward to traveling again when my son's a little older. Traveling with a family will be a new adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met some great people hosting couchsurfers, and then was able to go visit them when I was traveling. Traveling is so much better when you know people where you're going.

Music, Movies, and Books
Qiu Xiaolong's Inspector Chen Novels, anything by Haruki Murakami (though I can't read more than one of his books in a row), Born to Run, The Girl With Glass Feet, and many more not currently sitting on my bookshelf.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The day I made my own chocolate . . . I thought I loved chocolate before, but the smell and the taste of freshly toasted, freshly ground cacao, it's a totally different beast. Rich, subtle, earthy, heavenly and completely intoxicating. The pound of beans I'd bought didn't last me a week.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to cook, to teach it, learn it or just do it. One of my favorite parts of traveling is getting to cook in a foreign country and learn local dishes.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Cambodia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, France, Greece, Guatemala, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, Panama, United States
