About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore Europe while researching at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands

ABOUT ME

Hi guys! I am a professional student (AKA PhD student) and have two loves: traveling and snowboarding...well, and soccer, so I guess that's three loves!

This summer I am doing research at the University of Maastricht in south Netherlands and will try to travel and explore Europe on the weekends! I hope to meet many cool people!

PHILOSOPHY

I like the idea of couch surfing. I like the idea that people can still be trusting and open to ideas. It is a great philosophy.

I guess my personal philosophy would be- live life without any regrets and be open to any ideas other people have, even if it clashes with your own beliefs, but at least hear them out.

Yea, was that cheesy? maybe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed a few times with my cousins, but this is my first time doing the requesting and traveling by myself. I hope my experience is just as awesome as my previous CS experiences!

I've also gone to a few couchsurfing events in NY, met some cool people at their happy hour.

Interests

Soccer (yes, football...or futbol or Fußball)
Snowboarding
Doing incredibly nerdy things and not being ashamed of it (like going to the giant pillowfight or the giant lightsaber battle in NYC)
Pretending like I can take pictures..wait, I think thats called photography
Apparently using the word "awesome" too much...
I love going to Broadway shows- good thing I live in NY
Traveling (of course)

  • culture
  • photography
  • happy hour
  • traveling
  • surfing
  • snowboarding
  • soccer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English for a year in Japan. It was an awesome experience because I was thrown into a different culture where I had no knowledge of the language (which I eventually learned), and I still managed to LOVE IT! I miss my Japanese students.
*update Aug 2011- One of my fave students just friended me on FB, and she says she is now an English major at her University and I helped her enjoy English...awwww *warm and fuzzies*

Countries I’ve Visited
