ABOUT ME

Quiet and down to earth. More the 'sit on the couch and watch a movie' type. I love visiting the old and historical parts of towns (like Dresden or Edinburgh) or just the culture. I also like going out of town to the nature, mountains, lakes, parks and what else there is. I absolutely love to travel, like everybody on this site, and spend a lot of time doing it (it runs in the family). I pretty much like everything, although not really the late night life with going out

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Due to a full and busy house that is being renovated, we are not able to host any surfers. At the same time we all love travelling, so often there is no-one home anyway. I participate by travelling and at the moment looking for a host to surf at.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only went Surfing once in Orlando, and was pretty awesome! Stayed 5 days and I was shown and driven around by the guy. His roommates were also really kind and showed me around the neighbourhood.

Interests

Travelling, reading, horse riding, culture, but mainly to travel! Love to meet new people and laugh.

Poe, difficult, I read and watch a lot.
Movies: Monty Python, Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, everything from Quentin Tarantino and most of horror/thriller/comedy/adventure/sci-fi/fantasy genres

Music: Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ludovico Einaudi, and for some reason lots of Disney songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I went on an internship in far-away Australia. I was supposed to work at this ranch for 2 months. Within a week I realized I couldn't work together with the owner, so I decided to leave and spend the rest of my time just travelling and going to places. That was the best decision I have ever made in my life!
Also my 6-week stay on the small island of Samosir, North-Sumatra. Really meeting all the people, getting to know them, learning the culture and teaching at the schools there. It was an amazing trip and sure love to go back there again.
