About Me

My name is Lili and I like to discover new places a lot. My parents took me to far away places already as a child, this gave me a lot and I will carry on with it. At the moment I am interested in Europe and all the places that are reachable without an airplane, I want to learn to surf and move around on my own for the first time. I make music (guitar and singing) and i love cooking (vegan). Sometimes I talk a lot, but there are also some silent days.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don’t really like hotels and most of the hostels, because I don’t need to spend money on this comfort. I‘d rather sleep in a hangmat ☺️ But actually I like to feel safe and meet new people and thatswhy I wanted to try couchsurfing.

Interests

I started playing accordion 10 years ago, love gipsy songs and Balkan music. Guitar I play since 6 years, both instruments just for my own and my friends until now. But I hope to find a little group some day. I also love to use my hands, you will probably not find me without a knitting work or some notebook.
Being cosy with friends is also a big part of my life, I don’t want to be stressed out and mostly prefer the slow way. I live with my dog Messner in a beautiful big apartment, which is actually to big for us and we love being visited.

Music, Movies, and Books

Joanna Newsom, Joni Mitchell, Rickie Lee Jones, the Angelcy,
System of a down, all them Witches, Kaizers Orchestra,
The Beatles, ... many many more

Mostly I read books about mental and physical health, sometimes there is a novel in between, the last books I inhaled were from Elena Ferrante, the neapolitan saga. Books about Yoga and Buddhism, dogs and food fill my shelv.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing that I have probably done was adopting this dog from Spain, he’s one year with me today and I never regret this decision. Messner is his name and we’ve been hiking in the alps recently to find out if this name has a meaning. It has.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show some old castles that are really close to my home and beautiful landscapes especially in the summertime. The little city (Landau in der Pfalz) is small but full of students and cultural events.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Cuba, England, France, Italy, Mauritius, Netherlands, Seychelles, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand
