About Me

Since childhood, I dreamed of living in foreign countries, wandering abroad, meeting new people, and challenging myself as much as I could. Today, I'm living that dream.

My name is Lilit, and I currently reside in Saint-Brieuc, France. As a teenager, I knew I wanted to move abroad to find a better life, discover my purpose, and connect with like-minded individuals.

When I was 20, I moved to Poland with Erasmus and started teaching English at a local school. In 2023, I earned two scholarships and relocated to Germany to study in Düsseldorf. Now, I live in France and work at a local NGO. I have a passion for living abroad and immersing myself in different cultures and experiences. I can't imagine my life without traveling and exploring.

My favorite singer inspired me to move to France and embrace new challenges, so here I am. I don’t know where life will guide me next, but I'm still searching for my place. When it comes to my profession, I could say I'm an English teacher, a marketing specialist, or a youth worker, but I prefer not to label myself as I continue to seek my true calling.

I have a deep interest in human psychology and love engaging in meaningful conversations about topics like the meaning of life, discovering one’s purpose, existential crises, personal struggles, and more. I'm an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) and an introvert, but with the right people, I can be very sociable. I am empathetic, and people often refer to me as "their psychologist." I would love to meet like-minded individuals, discuss deep topics, share our cultures, and forge meaningful connections.

I’m also passionate about gothic style and gothic architecture, photography, psychological books, and anime. I run a small business called Fox Academy, which helps young people navigate international programs. Having been in their shoes, I understand how difficult it can be to feel stuck in your home country with limited opportunities for growth.

This work has become my passion because international programs have shaped my journey; they allowed me to meet incredible people, travel extensively, and find some stability. The corporate world, with its monotonous routine, has never suited me.

I consider myself a restless soul, constantly seeking my purpose, and I'm sure many others share this sentiment and find solace in travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason is simple yet very important to me: to connect with the right people and find like-minded souls. Couchsurfing has already helped me meet amazing hosts and friends in the past. Moving to France has been emotionally challenging for me. Although it has been my dream to live abroad, I've noticed that the older you get, the harder it becomes to leave your comfort zone, your country, and start anew.

I don't have friends here, and I want to find them. Usually, when I travel, I stay in hotels, but I've realized that I miss the feeling of being hosted by someone, connecting with them, and sharing beautiful moments. So, this is the reason why I'm here and why I want to continue finding hosts or just friends.

Interests

The most important ones are - Languages and photography. Why?
Because they open the world for me. Through languages I learn about different cultures, customs and traditions and speak to the natives as a native and feel great.
Through photography I create my unique world where I can express myself freely. The world of photography is another brench of art for me. Since my childhood I used to draw and make new toys for me but then I found photography and everything changed. Photos are not just photos. They are the representation of real life that happened to us. The moments that mattered the people and places that we met and saw. Photos contain so much energy and emotions. We just have to understand them. I want to go deeper in photography and become professional.
Help people understand many important things in life due to photos. We have to learn to understand the value of a single photo...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 23, when I felt truly hopeless about finding my place in the world, I decided to open an online business without any support, and I succeeded. Now, my business has helped countless young people move abroad and gain the experiences that once helped me in my own life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Moving abroad has been a significant life lesson for me, but it feels incomplete when you don't interact with people, cocooned in your bubble and isolating yourself. The first month in France felt like this for me because I didn’t know anyone here. While I have wonderful colleagues, I don’t have friends. My introverted nature also holds me back from taking that step to make new connections. However, I want to leave that comfort zone and change this.

I travel a lot around France these days and would love to meet new people. Don’t worry; I’m not shy or reserved—I’m quite outgoing and social once we start vibing! I believe that those who are here on Couchsurfing want to learn while traveling and share cultures, and I find that concept wonderful. I also want to contribute to this idea: to share my culture and experiences, inspire and motivate others to take steps, and learn about different cultures and countries while exchanging life experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're up for it, we can explore the city together or do something fun! I’d love to share about my country, Armenia, and hopefully motivate you to visit it. Additionally, if you're interested in international programs or language learning, I have plenty of useful tips to share.
