ABOUT ME

I am a vegetarian and nature lover, a scuba-diver and also an English translator with a passion for languages!
In August 2016 I changed my life and moved to Australia, so I've been travelling around a lot.
I'm trying to make the most out of my time here!

As everyone here, I love to travel, and I think one of the best things about traveling is getting to know people. When you travel alone, and you find yourself on a train talking to someone you've never met - and maybe you exchange recipes, or experiences, or an old lady talks to you about her daughter, and you both talk freely because you know you'll never see each other again - I think that's beautiful in its own fleeting way.

兴趣

I'm a vegetarian and a diabetic, so cooking is usually hard, but it forces me to try new and super weird combinations of food.
I love animals in general, but horses and dolphins and dogs and axolotls just drive me mad with love! I also like taking pictures of spiders and then running away as fast as possible.
Hiking, scuba-diving/snorkelling and trying different kinds of ice cream are maybe my three favorite things to do when I travel. Also: dancing and taking pictures under the snow!

I am very interested in literature, my favorites being anything Japanese, and Edgar Allan Poe.
I'm also into music, especially Jazz, bossa nova, Irish folk and power metal.

I went to Tikal (Mayan ruins) on a family trip when I was little. We woke up at 4 in the morning to walk through the woods in the complete darkness, and climbed a pyramid (Temple IV) to the top. From there we couldn't see a thing, but we could hear monkeys like elephants screaming all through the forest and feel the morning breeze higher than the trees. When the sun rose and the forest revealed itself, the calm and the beauty were unparalleled. It was the best experience of my life. For those of you Star Wars fans, the scene where the rebel ship arrives at a rebel base in the forest? That was my view from Temple 4. Amazing.
