Overview
About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Lily.
I'm quite well-read, well-traveled, I like taking risks and I'm always up for moving across the world if I find a reason exciting enough. I'm honest. I try to be nice and to keep my mind open.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Used right, CS is a great platform to remove boundaries and get connected to the most fascinating people.
I believe that CS helps one feel less of a stranger in a new place. And it's just so nice to make all the new friends wherever you go.
Interests
Traveling is my newly rediscovered passion. I was in one place for too long (India), so decided to quit my comfortable office job and just take off. Have traveled around Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala and Honduras since.
Learning new things. I'll be thrilled if you involve me in your hobbies and various activities - I'm a quick learner.
Languages! Apart from my two native languages Tatar and Russian I speak English, Hindi, Spanish and Farsi, next in line is Portuguese (and hopefully many more).
Avid reader (mostly classics and business books).
Enjoy swimming and would love to learn surfing.
Certified open water scuba diver.
Have been learning salsa and bachata in Mexico.
I love animals. Dogs and horses in particular.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: from Mozart and Chopin to wonderful Yanni, from Turkish songs of Tarkan to the likes of "Despacito" - anything that can make either my heart or feet or both move.
Books: "Master and Margarita" by M. Bulgakov, almost anything by Terry Pratchett, "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by K. Hosseini, "Blindness" by J. Saramago, "Catch-22" by J. Heller, "The Thorn birds" by C. McCullough, "One Flew over the cuckoo's nest" by K. Kesey, "1989" by G. Orwell, works of Gogol, Turgenev etc.
Movies: "Forrest Gump", "The Shawshank redemption", "WALL-E", Life is beautiful", "Spirited Away", many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess that would be moving alone to India at the age of 21 and living there (trust me, I have plenty of masala stories to share).
Teach, Learn, Share
The languages I know, the cultures I've lived in, the passion for exploration and anything worth sharing.
Also, I'm a certified Yoga Teacher, so in case anyone is practising or wants to start, I'd be more than happy to give some tips or maybe learn from you as there is always more to yoga.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, humour (with a pinch of sarcasm); cultures and languages exchange. Yoga tips.
I'm very clean and respectful of other people's space, things and lifestyle.
