ABOUT ME

Ohayoo!

I am who I am. I still haven't quite figured out who that is, though. But, let's give it a shot.

I currently live with my sister in a little but nice flat in a small town in Sweden. I don't have a lot of work, but I try as best as I can.

I'm very creative. Nerdy as it sounds - I need to create, otherwise I'll go crazy! I draw, paint, do everyone's make up for halloween, sew..... I have a DeviantArt-page, but it's not much on it yet. Once I'm a little more proud of my work there may be a link coming up.

I draw a lot. Always when I'm not doing anything important I draw stuff. Actually, even if I AM doing something important, I usually draw stuff meanwhile. I like drawing stuff...

Geeky stuff lives in my heart. I'm a geek with many tentacles shallowly dipped in many oozy pools. Roleplaying games and live action role plays, board games, Tolkien-stuff, Lovecraft, Star Wars, movies, anime/manga, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, fantasy, you name it. I probably forgot a load of things... ;)

I read so many webcomics it's almost ridiculous. My latest loves are Gunnerkrigg Court and Sinfest.

When I grow up, I shall be a pirate. Because EVERYTHING is better with pirates!

I have a certain affection for bad weather. The more everyone else complains, the happier I am!

I'm a little bit of a chameleon personalitywise. I can be very laid back, but I'm also often one of the first to say "YES!!!" when people come with weird ideas. :D

Mentally, I'm about five years old. :) I'm sometimes also way too proud for my own good.....

Try new things as much as possible. Step outside your comfortzone as often as possible, and you will grow as a person.

Interests

So many interests, so little time....

Drawing stuff. ;) One of my absolute best friends have a head full of stories. I'm pretty good at drawing. We thought we'd make a good combination and have currently four (if I remember correctly) comics in planning. :D

Reading; novels, short stories, comics.... Like mentioned above, I read a lot of webcomics nowadays.
Some of my favourite authors are: Haruki Murakami, Terry Pretchett, Scott Lynch, Diana Wynne Jones, Tanya Huff, John Ajvide Linqvist. And more....

One of my favourite artists is Junko Mizune. I'm seriously fascinated how she manages to combine the childishly cute with the macabre and erotic, and make it into something amazing!

And again - I'm a geek. :3 I love anything tentacly! :P

Music, Movies, and Books

Terry Prachett and Diana Wynne Jones are the loves of my life. I also harbour a deep and passionate love for manga artist Kaori Yuki. Recently I was introduced to Haruki Murakami, who I also very much enjoy.

I would also like to vouch for my newly found love Scott Lynch, and his books about Locke Lamora. I love them!

I would also like to put Welcome to Nightvale here. It's technically a podcast, but it's kinda like an audiobook? It's strange and funny and wonderful. And a little bit scary, if put in a certain perspective.

As for movies, I adore Guillermo del Toro. And cliché enough, I also love everything Tim Burton ever made (Planet of the apes excluded). I'm also a sucker for Tarantino. Also, if you haven't seen Lady Vengeance, or I'm a cyborg but that's OK, I suggest you do. Now. Currently wathing through the Marvel universe movies.

TV shows: Twin Peaks, Battlestar Galactica, Big Bang Theory, Attack on Titan, Game of Thrones. Teen Wolf is my guilty pleasure. :3

In both books and movies I enjoy creations that are maybe a bit out of the ordinary, or sometimes just plain strange. I'm also a big fan of open endings.

As for music there is a lot of Tori Amos and Eluveitie on my playlists. I also very much enjoy vocaloid songs like "Dark woods circus" and "Hold, Release; Rakshasa and Carcasses". And Rammstein.

Lately I've also started to listen to some hardstyle/jumpstyle, and also Abney Park and A Clockwork Quartet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once stood outdoors, helping my father getting the laundry, when a lightning struck just a few meters from where we stood.
