About Me
HOSTING UPDATE March 2020: I moved out of my apartment in Kyiv and have been nomading all-over since. I still am very much in love with hosting, so as soon as I settle, I'll be back in the game!
COVID UPDATE I'm fully vaccinated with Moderna.
I'm a friendly and very curious individual. Quite smart, somewhat sarcastic, level-headed guy. LGBT-friendly. A chill and independent dude. What else? Well, go ahead and ask!)

Music, Movies, and Books
Films are too many to count. I've seen more than 1700 movies in my relatively small lifetime. But if I had to choose, I'd say American Beauty, A Single Man, Beauty and the Beast, Amelie, Devil Wears Prada, Chicago, Dogma and about 50 more...
TV shows I also watch in abundance, from longtime cancelled to newest hits, from Rick and Morty and BoJack to Veep and GoT. I also watch a few American political talk shows...
Musically I'm also pretty diverse, I enjoy anything from Classical to Pop to Rock to Indie. But I would absolutely love to visit a concert of Pink (done!), Maroon 5, Florence+the Machine (done!), Adele, Rihanna, Two Door Cinema Club. Been to RHCP (twice), Muse, often visit some orchestrated classics' concerts.
Books are trickier, I mostly read news or fanfiction, bc the former keeps me aware and the latter is light and easy. I do like reading occasional "heavier" stuff, like Márquez, Strugatskie brothers, Tolkien or Remarque.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to over 250 (as of Sep 2023) cities and towns in Ukraine. My country is pretty big in all directions, and there are definitely lots to see! I'm telling you, I've seen it with my own eyes! XD
I've also spent 9 months traveling to 21 countries in 2021. Though this kind of "accomplishment" isn't that uncommon on this particular service...
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you the proper way of NOT pronouncing Ukrainian\Russian "rolling R" sound. It's an actual speech impediment that, cruelly enough, has that same sound in it's name. Meaning people who have it, myself included, can't even pronounce properly what's wrong with their speech 😂 On the bright side, my English "r" is purrfect LOL
I would like to learn about your hometown\country history, life, customs, problems, politics, reality.
I might tell you about my travels, passions, likes, friends, life stories, if you're interested. Or maybe even shut up for a minute and listen to yours LOL
What I Can Share with Hosts
People seem to think that I'm knowledgeable, so some kind of knowledge, I guess..?
When I'm hosting, I could show you around Kyiv, help you with logistics and travel arrangements, have a meaningful conversation about anything and everything or leave you be and do your own thing if that's your style or you feel like being alone;)
When I'm surfing, I'd be happy to spend as much time of my visit as we can together or just come and go and leave you to your deeds, if that's how you are. I have no strict rules, I'm flexible and independent, I'm down to whatever, as long as we are on the same page.
