About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm adventurous, rational and kinda nerdy, that just comes with my field of study.
Apart from whacky science stuff, I'm also into art, music, nature, the occasional crazy party and borderline extreme sports, which in the Netherlands is mostly limited to bouldering.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to make friends all over the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like different music genres as long as the quality is good, and prefer concerts at intimate venues. I used to play a few instruments, but have forgotten much of it.
I'm drawn to surreal movies like The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Men Who Stare at Goats. I recently saw Inside Out and it made me cry in the theatre. Is that weird? Anything Disney goes, really. I also like actual theatre.
I'm a bit ashamed of my literary curriculum since pleasure-reading isn't a priority in between study-reading. I grew up a Harry Potter fangirl, read my "mandatory" LOTR and so on. Recently heard Orwell's 1984 on audiobook while analysing some data and found it masterly written and unsettlingly relevant. I really liked the Picture of Dorian Grey, and happened to go to Paris while reading it so it was the perfect time to see the monument for Oscar Wilde. Didn't kiss it though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed one of the world's highest sand dunes, ran/jumped/rolled/swam down (and then rescued my friend who broke her leg this way)
Dived at a huge old wreck in Croatia
Jumped out of a plane. Or more like fell, it was the hairy old guy I was strapped to that jumped, as I was paralysed by fear.
Drunkenly went on a hike around 4 am the last night of midnight sun, munched ripe blueberries and cloudberries and scared the shit out of some sheep.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you norwegian or about how your brain works, practice other scandinavian languages or dutch.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My cooking skills are not terrible, but I might do better with the dishwashing brush or assembling a shelf.
