We have recently renovated and moved into Eriks childhood home, and haven't had any couchsurfers in over a year. The house still isn't all finished, and there still are some boxes here and there, but we have room, we have spare beds, and we have missed the fun that comes with couchsurfers! So now we are back! :)

ABOUT ME

Hi, we are Mona and Erik. We live in a house in Høvik, a place in Bærum about 15 min outside Oslo. We are 2 adults and 2 dogs (shetland sheepdogs)

If you are comfortable being around the dogs alone, and can find your way, you are welcome any day, weekdays or weekends. If you need more help and guiding, weekends are best.
We are not the kind of people who entusiasticly drag couchsurfers around town to see all the sights, but we can help you and join you if you are going somewhere special :) We enjoy visitors, and consider ourselves friendly, but maybe sometimes a little boring and quiet..
We work normal hours, but can pick up at the train station, show and tell and be social in the afternoons and weekends. We prefer to go to bed late, but kinda have to go to bed before midnight on workdays.. We love couchsurfers that feel at home and make themselves at home in our house. You are welcome to find your way around our house, use our kitchen and bathroom, and joining us in the living room where we usually sit when we are home, with our computers or watching a movie, or both :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We participate in couchsurfing mainly as hosts. With 2 dogs, the amount of travelling we get to do is limited, but they are our children and we have chosen this life ourselves :) We see couchsurfing as a great way to get to know new and interesting people, getting a piece of the world into our living room, and help out travelers on a budget. We hope to travel a bit too, and hopefully we can couchsurf and get to know people and places that way too. Couchsurfing has really opened our eyes on how we used to travel, just seeing the sights and motelrooms, and not talking to people at all..

Music, Movies, and Books

Erik is a country&western guy, he also plays trombone in a bigband, and loves "old school" bigband music, typical Glen Miller. We both enjoy Norwegian artist, both pop and folk. Mona likes 70's-80's music, ELO, REO speedwagon, Chicago, Foreigner, Manfred Mann.. You get the idea :)
We LOVE movies! And TV-series.. Mona prefer comedies, but a good action movie or sci-fi or western can pass too. Erik is a huge Clint Eastwood fan, and likes sci-fi, action, warmovies, crime and mystery.. and good comedies, maybe not as many romantic comedies as Mona.. But we both love "the classics", Monthy Pyton, Mel Brooks, crazy comedies and parodies like Hot Shots and Spaceballs.. Drama is probably the only genre we don't watch unless its on TV and we can't be bothered turning it off ;)
