About Me
“You will probably never come back“, predicted my dad, when I jumped on a plane just weeks after my graduation. And he was right: While travelling New Zealand for 12 months, I fell in love with my newly won freedom, the beauty of nature and the exploring itself (2018/19). I was hooked and I wanted to see more of this beautiful world. So instead of starting a degree in Germany, I moved to Western Australia for seven months (2019/20), and found myself working as a bartender in a gold mining town in the middle of nowhere. Red dirt and 40°C became my new norm.
My next destination was Scotland (2020-present). I am studying Marine and Freshwater Science in Edinburgh, the most beautiful city I have set foot in. Yes, it rains a lot, however, I have never seen such green hills and so many rainbows in my life. I spent one winter trimester studying abroad in the sunny Florida, which included a 2-week field trip to Belize. In Florida, my days were filled with long days at the beach, marine wildlife watching and colourful sunsets, an unforgettable experience that I will always carry in my heart. When I finally got back to Scotland, I made my biggest dream become true: I became the proud owner of a bright green micro camper in which I hope to explore every last bit of Scotland, the beautiful country, that has stolen my heart.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am keen to see the most different places of the world and to call them my home. I believe it's always the right time for a new adventure!
I love almost all kinds of food, especially while having a good talk and laugh. I rather cook (alone or with friends) than going out for dinner. I am always curious to get to know new cultures and traditions.
I like a relaxed night with card games, movies or a couple of beers as much as going for a swim, hiking or anything else outside.
