About Me

CURRENT MISSION: Arrive in a place to call home.

ABOUT ME:
I am a curious, passionate person that likes to laugh, dream, play and share moments of pure life with others. I love traveling as much as I love that feeling of home, I'm totally into books but I also love hiking and sleeping in my tent in the middle of nowhere. I love mountains and ocean, old childhood friends but also meeting new people and soul connections that just happen out of the blue. I would say I'm a quite many-faceted person, which I enjoy, but it also makes me struggle.
I apreciate challenges, as they make me feel alive.
I think only your mind sets the limits.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is change. And so are we.
That makes every single moment super precious.
May it be sadness or joy, anything that is real, genuine and true, is good to me as it brings you further and beyond your own imagination.

Fear is the worst consulstant and I try my best not to even allow his company.

I just believe in people. I think everyone has a story to tell and there is noone I could not learn anything from - in one way or the other. I appreciate genuine, compassionate, kind and frank people in my life. I believe connection is the main reason why we are here and I try to always keep a free space for a new friend in my heart and life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learn, share, feel, live!

I think Couchsurfing is one of the best things that got out of the technology revolution. Simply love it. Travel, learn, get together, trust! If I had had the idea to invent it in the first place, I would have not believed it could actually work. And every time, I'm amazed it does.

It's based on respect, care and openminded interest, which makes it even more precious and maybe necessary in our world of today.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Daniel, Klein, Milan Kundera, Pascal Mercier, J.W. v. Goethe, Heinrich Böll, Paulo Coelho, Heinrich von Kleist and many more.

Music: Bob and Jakob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohan, Sara Barreil,.... I'm generally open to all kinds of music (very few exceptions) but please music not be what labels or separetes us - that's not what it's for, right ;).

Films: Das weiße Band, The trueman show, Before sunset, avatar, 500 days of summer... (I somehow have the "talent" to forget movies after 2-3 years and I'm happy to watch them again as sometimes I actually don't remember any details, only the main plot)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I danced with a 12year old girl in a children hospital (oncology) in Morocco, when I visited that place as a clown. She looked like a princess to me despite her hold hair due to chemotherapy (I know, heavy stuff) and we had heaps of fun together. Afterwards she stood in the corridor watching me and the other clowns, smiling so much. Only there a nurse told me that until that point she did not leave her room or talk to anyone for over three weeks! I feel so gratefull that I was allowed to make her life a little brighter.

As I feel I can't pick one thing only (see description above), I want to also tell this one as well: Hiking in complete wilderness of the South Island of New Zealand for 10 days by myself was something that gave me a lot. I felt lost and at home at the same time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Italian, German, Slacklining, clowning (you only need an open heart basically) and cooking a traditional German meal.

I would love to learn playing the piano, riding a horse, fishing and baking my own bread.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My smile, some stories, an ear to listen - simply the moment to share.

Countries I’ve Visited
