About Me
UNABLE TO HOST UNTIL SEPTEMBER
I am having the time of my life thanks to you people. After a bit of a dry spell on the CS front, I am hoping to pick back up this year - first destination Split! Time to get out again and stop worrying about work for a while...
I'll be travelling with my boyfriend, who hasn't couchsurfed before but is one of the least difficult people I know.
I'd like to give you a detailed account of all our little disorders and oddities, but I fear we are rather uncomplicated people.
I found out that travels, no matter where to, provide you with so much knowledge and experiences not only by seeing the country but also by talking to fellow travellers or hosts - why don't we introduce some months of compulsory travel into our educational systems?
PHILOSOPHY
Live high, live mighty, live righteously.
We have to find out where and with whom we can be happy, but before being able to decide, we have to understand what the world has to offer
- and, becoming more and more evident, what has to be preserved.
That said, don't forget the craic!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm actively couchsurfing at the moment, and by being nice and helpful and telling a lot of people about the project I hope to spread positive word about it. Funnily enough, the ones who find the idea outrageous at first end up surfing lots themselves...
On the hosting side, I had a Frenchman (Pascal) surf my horse rather than my couch, and got an unlikely re-surf of my former host from Bali in The Hague. That's how it's meant to go!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A lot of experiences - positive ones without one exception!
Oslo, Galway, Den Haag, Casablanca, Fes, Erg Chebbi, Accra, Swakopmund, Bali, NZ, Rarotonga, Prague, Vienna, Porto, DC, NYC... legendary.
