About Me

Hello, my name is Lilly, I'm 26 and I have lived in Austin about eight years now. I am an artist and incoming grad student in Landscape Architecture at Cal in the fall. I have done some traveling, around the US, a little thru Europe, Mexico, and Central America. I love backpacking, hiking, nature, plants and animals! She/her pronouns, and open to all kinds of people and identities!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I am hoping to meet some cool people while frugally preparing to move to the Bay Area! I always have the best time staying in hostel or couch surfing situations because of the spontaneity of it, and the local perspective I receive :)

Interests

I love dogs. And all animals. I'm super into nature and a lot of my art includes themes of entropy and natural decay. I love stargazing, camping, swimming in natural swimming holes, hiking, rock climbing, I used to do some caving (spelunking) with cavers in the Texas Speleological Society and I'm hoping to get back into it. I also love to ice skate and roller blade :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the Psych Folk genre, singer/songwriter stuff, Shoegaze, etc. There's something from every genre I can appreciate!
My favorite movies, I really love Charlie Kaufman; Being John Malkovich, Adaptation. Anything that's sci-fi-dystopian-future kind of setting. Game of Thrones. Psychological thrillers. Lately I've been watching documentaries.
Books, Tom Robbins is my fave. I mostly read nonfiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think caving in Texas and New Mexico is probably the top of the charts for things I have done. I went climbing at El Potrero Chico once too. That was incredible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help cook a meal, get some beer for the house, and bring some dice to play with!
