About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a community organizer and environmental/climate activist. Five years ago, I founded Grow Food Northampton, a homegrown non-profit organization in western Massachusetts that now owns/operates the state's largest community farm and promotes sustainable community agriculture. I've just stepped down from my role as executive director to dedicate my time to homeschooling my passionate, plant-loving 13-year old daughter, and reviving Northampton's tree canopy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started homeschooling my middle schooler and was blown away by the torrent of adventure, passion and learning it unleashed in both of us!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a folk song in one of at least 10 languages--you pick! I can usually teach a harmony too, especially if I'm traveling with my daughter.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a conscientious, cheerful, and grateful traveler. I roll my sleeves up and help in any way I can. I've been a host for many years through an travel organization called Servas, so I understand what makes a great traveler.
