I'm Lilo, 25 years old and from Germany, Köln. I love to travel, to meet new people, and to learn more about where others have been and what they are passionate about.

After spending a semester in Istanbul (which I looved) I hope that now I can discover other facets of Turkey outside the big city life. I would love to learn about different local traditions and foods and especially finding connections with you along the way! Maybe you can teach me some more Turkish over Çay or tell me about your favourite music, places and memories in your Area? :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me traveling is never only about places, but it's always about people. I'm here to learn from you and to share wonderful experiences with you while making each other feel at home in our own homes.

*Right now I sadly can't host myself, but I will definitely do that again once I have the space to do so!

Interests

Music, Nature and People are my biggest passions.
I could spend hours just watching beautiful landscapes, maybe because it makes me feel closer to myself. Whereas to get away from everything, listening to or making music myself is always a solution. Also spending time with the people i love, or having deep conversations with interesting people i have never met, always really fulfills me! (Thats why i chose to study sociology and psychology ;) )

To capture the beautiful things in life i always have a small video camera with me to film my surroundings and friends and edit little movies out of it afterwards. (You can find some of them on my Instagram @lalelilos.cam if you're interested :) )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've once encountered a wild herd of horses during sunset on a hiking trip. I didn't do anything amazing then, but it still was a magical moment. ✨

What I Can Share with Hosts

If the ingredients are around I could cook you some fancy (vegetarian) German or non-german dishes, if you want to learn some German I'd be very happy to teach you, and if you randomly need a new haircut I always have my scissors with me ;)
But in general I am a respectful surfer and I will adapt to your schedule. I'd be very happy to spend time together, but if you're busy I am also totally fine with exploring your surroundings on my own!
