I am also on a mission for people who want to have a cup of coffee or a walk with me and reflect on the question "what advise they would you give to you younger self?"
At the moment I'm traveling through Indonesia and working on a photo project called "I WOULD ADVISE"... in which I ask people I meet to reflect back on their life and think about the advise they would give to their younger self. ABOUT ME

I am a curious, open-minded, introspective, happy and positive woman. Born in the Netherlands from Indonesian parents I find my hometown in Amsterdam. Graduated as an urban designer I recently resigned from my job to work as a freelance photographer (www.lilianesmith.nl) and at the moment I am traveling through Indonesia, learning the language.
I try to appreciate the small things in life as much as possible. I enjoy quiet mornings, a walk in nature, a little dance, a good laugh, a good nap :) and reading books that are inspiring and nurturing for the soul.

I am interested in meeting up like-minded people to exchange creativity, skills, talents, passions, interesting and contemplative conversations and sharing views on life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not that much.. yet! But I've met some very nice people through CS while traveling through Brazil in 2010. I hope to host when I'm back in Amsterdam.

Zainteresowania

Photography, yoga, meditation, social entrepreneurship, bottom-up city development, the creative economy, getting lost in cities. I like to eat chocolate, drink tea, read while having a coffee in fascinating places, listen to music, dance, watch people, contemplate about life. I practice daily Vipassana meditation, changing to a buddhist way of living and I find that it has become the core of my happiness.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Depending on my mood my music taste varies between Angus Stone, Daft Punk, The XX, Bonobo, Four Tet, Massive Attack, Fink, Yuna..... to Erykah Baduh, India Arie, Lauryn Hill, Sean Paul, NERD..... to several deep techno tracks. I can basically listen to everything!

I absolutely love all Wes Anderson films and "Women who run with the wolves" is my all time favorite book. Inspiring and soul nurturing!

To teach: I know some things about photography and working with photoshop, illustrator and indesign. I can teach you some Dutch and share my knowledge about urban design, architecture and cities. I can also share some things on mindfulness.. and sharing a quiet moment can be very fruitful :)
