Hello! My name is Lily Bollinger and I'm new to Couchsurfing and planning my first ever trip to Europe! I'm super excited to explore new places and meet new people! I also love live music and any performance art! I make friends easily and am always looking to make connections.

A little bit about me: I'm a Sophomore at UCLA, majoring in International Development Studies. I love to write and travel and make new friends (especially if those friends have cute pets).

While in the states, I eat a vegetarian diet, but am open to trying new cuisine while across the pond!

Also, just because I'm American does not mean I support my government and the president... I apologize in the name of my entire country for Donald Trump.

Couchsurfing just seems like a lovely way to meet new people and explore new places by getting immersed in the country. I really like the trust involved in this exchange and think it's an experience that should not be missed out on.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love almost every type of music! I particularly love bands like Modest Mouse, Beirut, New Order, and The Cure! I also really love the musician Sufjan Stevens.

My favorite book series is the Harry Potter series, but I also like The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, The Kite Runner, and Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut.

My favorite movies are Moonrise Kingdom, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Howl's Moving Castle, and Slumdog Millionaire.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

In 2015 I went to Hercegovina with three other teen girls to team up with a film school there to make a short film. This film, which I wrote and acted in, has been featured in many film festivals including the Mediterranean Film Festival and the Croatian Film Festival. It was an incredible experience and I've made lifelong friends whom I still keep in touch with. Ask me about it! :)

I can teach English (especially surfer/ Southern Californian slang), how to make friendship bracelets, how to bake amazing chocolate chip cookies, and I am an EXCELLENT guide to California if you have an interest in traveling out to the beach.

I would love to learn any type of cooking or any language tidbits. Honestly, I love learning and am open to learning everything and anything.

I have some amazing stories to share as well as cute pictures of my bunny rabbit and dog.

Admittedly, I won't be traveling with many belongings, however the friend I'm traveling with and I have many funny college stories and we also do a lovely ukulele and singing duet we would be honored to break your eardrum with.
