About Me
Hi, I'm currently on my year abroad from university, working as an English language assistant in a secondary school. I only work part time, so I have a few days off a week to do some exploring, plus I get school holidays which is when I do most of my travelling. I'd consider myself quite a friendly and laidback person, though I can be a bit shy at times with new people; this is something I've been working on a lot whilst I've been living in France.
Originally from the UK, where I study the very boring (not in my opinion obviously) subject of Politics (I know, what a time to be a UK citizen and studying Politics...). I've never really done this sort of thing before, especially by myself as I've always been too scared or worried about it. However, life is for living and I'm trying to be more bold! Overall, I'm a quiet and respectful guest, plus an immensely grateful one for your kind hospitality :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whilst I'm in France I'd love to do some more travelling and explore places that I've never been to before. Plus, getting to meet wonderful new people is always a massive bonus.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have quite an eclectic taste in music but in particular I absolutely love 80s music: Wham!, Duran Duran, Madonna, Tears for Fears, Whitney Houston etc (just all the classics). Plus, I am unashamedly a big fan of cheesy music, ABBA is my jam. In terms of movies, gimme a rom-com any day: Bridget Jones, Notting Hill, and Love Actually are all favourites of mine, However, I do appreciate a good drama as well, such as the King's Speech, or a good comedy such as Vice (I highly recommend). In general, I don't read nearly as much as I used to, but anything by George Orwell is always a winner in my eyes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once did a bungee jump, which I think's a pretty cool thing to do. Although it was probably one of the scariest experiences of my life, it was also one of the most exhilarating! I would love to do another jump again sometime, and I definitely recommend trying it if you're an adrenaline junkie like me! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully, if you're up for it, I'm always up for going out for drinks or in general hanging out. And if you're kind enough to let me stay I'd definitely offer to buy you a drink for being so nice. I think I'm quite a chatty and friendly person as well, so I love a good conversation and getting to know new people.
