I left my island of comfort (Seattle, WA) to go see what else is out there in November 2014. Since then I have been to Costa Rica, Panama, England, and now I am in France. I have spent the last three months in Paris working as an au pair / learning loads of French! Now I'm off to do a bit of exploring. Starting off with the alps. This is my first time using couch surfing, so thanks in advance for your patience!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love the concept of meeting open people with local knowledge of areas I may be visiting. I don't really like being a tourist. I prefer to actually get to know a place and the people living there, not just see the sights and go. I think that's why i love learning languages. When i stop traveling i look forward to hosting and doing the same for others.

Interests

I love talking to random people, sailing boats, eating porridge or muesli, learning languages, cooking food, playing guitar, singing, camping, biking, hiking, skiing, a cool drink with friends, watching the sunset, standing in the waves, climbing trees, planting veggies, basketweaving vetiver grass... Could probably go on forever. I'm up for most things.

I'm really into vetiver grass. If you have problems with erosion control, wastewater, unstable slopes, or want to learn how to basket weave... Maybe I can help!

I cook a rad pad Thai and carbonara, I'm really fascinated about your country's politics, I can teach you how to sail a boat, I'm a decent Spanish teacher, I like fixing things/problem solving, I can bike or walk with you long distances without complaint.
