Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started off my trip travelling with friends and so far we've been staying at hostels, but I want to give couch surfing a go as I love the idea of being educated about a city by an actual local. You don't have to entertain me the whole time - I just wanna get to know a local who can tell me all the best places to see and things to eat :) I want the authentic experience pls share

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Super cliche - but in 2013 I volunteered in Africa for a month, rebuilding classrooms and teaching and playing sport with the local children every morning. I've travelled a lot and met a lot of people, but nothing compares to this experience. Sadly in Malawi every 1/4 people have AIDS, yet these kids are the happiest people I've ever met, and they made me appreciate what I have SO much more. Malawi is a beautiful country and I encourage everyone to go there!
