About Me
Hi, friends. I grew up in Dallas, but I went to college in NYC. I lived my whole life in Texas so moving to NYC for four years kind of awakened my inner adventurer, so I went with some friends to Vietnam in May of 2016 and it showed me that I definitely wanted to keep going. I went on a big trip in 2017 through a bit of Europe and Asia, spent a year after that in Australia, then taught English in Vietnam for several months. I just finished an archaeological dig in Romania and I'm riding the Transsiberian this August as well. I'm pretty agreeable, and I love going to new places and meeting new people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting local people and getting a different take on the city. Although I do like exploring new places on my own or with friends from home, there's something really cool and unique about being in a new place while also engaging with someone who really knows the ins and outs of it.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Country, pop, rap, edm, rock, metal, and really anything. I'm not picky
Movies: action movies and romantic comedies are sort of my staples
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw Ryan Reynolds in LaGuardia Airport once.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to woodcarve with hand tools (i.e. whittling, chip carving, carving in the round) and I have a lot of fun working on projects with other people. I also like to sew, but I'm not a seamstress by any means. I really love handicrafts in general, and I do a little crochet, embroidery, and woodworking in my free time.
