We don't have much money; but we've got plenty of time.

Jake and I have left our jobs and lives and know the only time we have is the present.

I just graduated with a BSc (plant science) and BA (peace and conflict studies & Anthropology).

Jake recently discharged from the army as a fireman.

We're up for anything and are excited to meet new people and experience America from a locals perspective.

*We are a couple, but we are also respectful of other human beings! Promise not to make you feel uncomfortable, most of our friends just hang out with us like we're two friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For us it's about having somewhere to stay (obviously) and to meet new people.
Travelling for us is as much about the people you're with as it is about seeing new things.

In particular major cities are very expensive for us; and we are aware hosts are doing us a major favour. We will be very respectful of your things and time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My family goes camping out to the Great Barrier Reef every second year. My great grandfather started going in 1946 and we camp like he did back in the day.
An island out in the pacific; we catch our dinner and cook on gas. The best place to see the Milky Way. You never knew how alive the sky is until you get that far away from everything.

I can cook yummy food. We just want to hang out and see the sites.
