About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world and live every moment to the fullest!
ABOUT ME
I've recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelors of Business Administration concentrating in Marketing, Economics, and Spanish. I started to work for Vistaprint in Boston and decided to pursue different work in my hometown of Chicago. A great opportunity to come to Sweden came up and I will be in Europe for a month. After spending a semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain in 2011, I am addicted to traveling and have a personal goal to try to see the world on a budget.
I love exploring, taking photos, being adventuresome, and meeting new people. Some of my favorite travel destinations are those where I was able to meet locals, interact with them, and step out of the usual "touristy areas". I love taking walks, laughing, eating sweets, and trying new things. There is nothing more beautiful than being able to step out of your own element, learn about new people, and in the process discover of what you're truly capable.
PHILOSOPHY
Live in Faith, Not in Fear.
Be assertive with what you want to accomplish while keeping in mind the needs of others around you.
Be flexible, life happens. And when it does, you have to know how laugh it off and move forward.
Always keep a glass half full.
Don't be a party popper & take advantage of EVERYTHING.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As part of the CS project, I am eager and excited to show others around Linkoping, Sweden or Chicago, IL (once I am back in the States). Although I don't have the physical space to house guests, I am happy to assist with information, make hostel/hotel/food/sights/party recommendations, and offer my support in any other way possible.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have done couch surfing before in 2011 when visiting throughout Italy and Czech Republic. Otherwise, I've always stayed at hostels, hotels, or with friends. However, couch surfing has been some of my favorite experiences and have grown to call the people I stayed with, Family. Because of this I am excited to continue being part of the Couch Surfing Program and have the opportunity to meet new people while sharing a space.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like just about all kinds of music but aren't a huge fan of country. Lately my playlist is dominated by Rihanna, Britney Spears, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii.
I love comedies & can't handle scary movies. I get super scared and can't sleep.
Although I love to read, I've been struggling to finish books. I've started a few and gone no where.. well maybe about 10 pages deep. However, I'm determined to finish the Great Gatsby for a 3rd time before the movie comes out in May.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Morocco, I've seen some the most amazing simple beauty. It was architecture or country side- it was the humble and grateful attitude of the Berbers I encountered. PRICELESS

I am bilingual: English & Spanish. I've lived in Barcelona & Puerto Rico for longer periods of time. I'm not a great cook but can make a mean guacamole.
