ABOUT ME

Well I'm a 26 years old French woman.

I'm open-minded and what I love most is to travel and discover new cultures (1 lived year in England, spent 2 months in Brazil, and try to make a long trip far away from home once a year...).

My friends say I'm hyper. I deny !!! Truth is I can't stop cuz I love to do so many thing and discover so many other and life is waaaayyyyy too short !!! But I do know how to relax, chill out and just ENJOY... sometimes ;-)

I love music A LOT. I sing all day long (even at work sometimes). But I have yet to take time and learn how to PLAY music. I have a thing for drums (and drummers ;-) ). But I'm not coordinated enough to play it... But I always have fun trying (the ears of my friends can't say the same). ANyway I will definitely learn how to play the guitar and maybe the harmonica ONE DAY !!

I read way too much, love dancing (any kind of dance really, did classical/ballet for 10 years, modern jazz, a couple of classes of african and contempory as well and now salsa), hiking, playing basket-ball or beach volley, going to the movies.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host CSers as much as I can from everywhere around the world.

I attend CS events in the area once in a while

I surfed once and hope to do it more often !!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS meetings in Toulouse, Nice, Firenze, Delhi which are always a lot of fun :)

Hosting mainly, cuz the house is big and the area quite touristic. So far only good and positive experiences :-)

And I surfed once in Bologna ! ;-) I'll try to surf again in the US this september

Interests

A lot of things actually ........Travelling would be my top 1 I guess :-)I love dancing. I danced for 10 years when I was a child (modern jazz, classic,...). Now I'm dancing salsa !! Hiking with friends... and trust me here you have wonderful places to hike, either for one day or several. I'm gonna start scuba-diving in 2012 !! Let see if it becomes my new hobby ;) !

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot of all of these :D I can actually read a book while listening to a movie and humming a song... yeah i'm crazy like that ! ;)Seriously, the list would be too long cuz I'm addicted to all 3 and I'm quite eclectic in the matter.Movies : My favorite director is Tarantino and I'm a big fan of the Tim Burton's movies. On a completely different genre, I'm a HUGE fan of "la cité de la peur", "le diner de cons" (french humour). I've seen all the star wars, lord of the ring, harry potter ... Anyway, I love going to the theatre to watch pretty much everything... Cinema is of of my favourite art :)Music : I'm listening EVERYTHING... from electronic music to r'n'b and classical music but my favourite lies in rock, pop, punk, jazz, and soul. I don't have ONE band or singer that I adore more than the other... though I do have a preference for the old classics (Direstraits, Clash, Toto, Bon Jovi, Supertramp,...)and my band of the "moment" (a 2 years moment then) would definitely be Mumford and SonsBooks : Gosh... here as well.. so many genres and authors. Usually in English. I read a lot of Stephen King, Lovecraft, Cornwell, Coben, Nothomb, Rice, Ludlum, Grangé. I love fantasy books as well (Tolkien, Kay, Hobb, Jordan,...). I'm a sucker for vampire books (pun intended of course) and all angels and faeries and witches related stories...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Brazil for 2 months for a humanitarian mission. It was one of the best experience in my life.

I saw the Taj Mahal and still have chills when remembering it.

I attended an Indian Wedding... it was amazing... specially cuz it was a dear friend getting married :-)
I've just attended the handball semi-final game in the Olympics (France-Croatia)... the spirit was just ... PERFECT :-)

I'm curious about EVERYTHING, especially when I'm travelling. I'm like a sponge, I want to know how to speak, the cultural, the historical, the architectural, the funny facts.... I'm happy to talk about music, cinema, books, series, and exchange good tips on what to listen/watch/read ...
