Hi! I'm Kate. I'm quite an open-minded and bright person, who is always trying to get new experience. I like travelling, playing the guitar and communicating with people. However, due to my occupation I mostly get to communicate with kids and I totally enjoy it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfing experience was a journey to Saint Petersburg in the summer. It was quite a wonderful experience.

Winter of 2015 I discovered the field a lot more - I took a trip to Bulgaria for three weeks and managed to drive around the country twice. I met a lot of wonderful people and I'm really glad that journey was a part of my life.

Last year I traveled to Puerto Rico where I was hosted by an amazing American lady.

Interests

Basically, everything connected with children. I'm a full-time tutor of English and Biology, and during winter and summer holidays I work as a youth leader in summer camps. I have been doing both for more than 5 years now, but I'm still totally excited about it!
Beyond that, I'm totally keen on music. I started playing the guitar when I was already a grown up, but now that's one of the most favourite things I do to relax.
I'm also very excited about tourism. If I get some time, I totally enjoy grabbing a backpack and going somewhere.
Last but not least, I adore driving. I love to suddenly jump into my car and hit the road.
Currently I'm working as a Youth Staff on board Royal Caribbean cruise ships. It's been quite an experience so far which gives me a lot to tell. I've seen plenty of amazing places and met a lot of wonderful people from almost very country in the world and I love sharing this experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of them, actually. It's hard to remember anything in particular, but I love almost every movie by Cohen brothers, Everything is Illuminated, Inception, A Beautiful Mind, lots of films on Marvel comics...well, let's stop there. My music taste is even wider. And books.. Well, unfortunately, now I don't have a lot of time to read fiction as my whole bookshelf consists of textbooks. But I try to do better when I get time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have visited a real religious sect in Siberian woods once. However, it was quite a nice one :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some biological facts with you. I love cooking and can share some recipes. I can also teach you what to do, if you find yourself alone in a group of kids.
I, myself, would be grateful to learn anything connected with my profession as well as some facts about your country, language and lifestyle.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be thrilled to cook a meal together. Maybe even a lot more than one.
