Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I lile traveling and meeting new people, share stories, so I’ve chosen CS. In Kharkiv people are rarely asking for a host, our city is not very tourist. But since I moved to a very small flat, I can host only people with sleeping bags.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed in Istanbul for 1 week and want to go on couchsurfing. Upd: I have been to Stockholm, Vilnius, Frankfurt, Budapest, Warsaw, Poznan, Nice, Paris. I liked everybody who hosted me and showed me around. Only one guy from Vienna didn’t like me, we didn’t have much in common, he liked night life and I prefer healthy sleep after 2am. Talks with foreigners, but so similar in all nationalities, are great, still:))))

Music, Movies, and Books

This is my weakness. I am a movie buff. I like old french movies, new wave, italian neorealism, golden age of Hollywood, Alfred Hitchkock's movies with Grace Kelly, I like American beauty, american art house, early movies by Scorsese, Cubric's, brothers Coen's creativity. "Girl, Interrupted", "Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf?", "A Streetcar named Desire". I like intellectual comedies by Woody Allen, my favorite films by this director are "Bullets Over Broadway" and "Love and Death". I like Ingmar Bergman's masterpieces such as "Persona", "Autumn Sonata", "Cries and Whispers". I admire Bernardo Bertolucci's movies. His cinematographer Vittorio Storaro is a God of camera. In my opinion "Last tango in Paris" is his best movie. "1900", "The Conformist", "The Sheltering Sky" also touched me deeply. I like "The Dreamers" as well, marvelous, really. My favorite actress is Jodie Foster. I like her performances in "Taxi Driver", "The girl who lives down the lane", "The Accused", "The Silence of the Lambs", "The Carnage". I also think, that Marlon Brando did the greatest performance of his life in Kazan's "A Streetcar Named Desire". I can speak about cinema endless. But I like reading not less than watching movies. I name some books that I like most of all, they are "Tropic of Cancer" by Henry Miller, Nabokov's "Lolita", "The Collector" by John Fowles, "The Dangerous Liaisons" a French epistolary novel by Choderlos de Laclos and so on.
Speaking about music I think that Russian singer Zemfira has brilliant songs.
I also like opera and fashion, especially streetwear.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was taking part in filming of the movie as a crowd. I should dance at the party where everybody put on their head black boxes, or suit. My mask was made out of insoles. It was nuts.
Upd 2019: this movie is DAU and it became an exhibition that premiered in Paris in 3 theaters

Teach, Learn, Share

I like Ukrainian language and can teach it to people and I like to create shot movies and can work with Pinnacle and Sony Vegas. Also I know a lot about testing computer software. I watched a lot of movies and read a lot of books, I am interested in psychoanalysis and philosophy.
