ABOUT ME

I am currently a bike mechanic at possibly the sassiest most sarcastic bike shop in the midwest, or at least in kalamazoo.

Prior to this chapter in life, I lived on a beautiful farm in northern VT and learned about food, family, life, and love.

Before that I spent a year as an americorps member in the northern part of vermont that is practically canada. I taught cooking, nutrition, and gardening. I also managed gardens and improved my patience and office skills along the way.

Before that I spent a summer on an island in the atlantic ocean teaching about farming and learning about friends. I graduated from college with in anthropology/sociology, with a minor in studio art and environmental studies. One summer I interned in New Hampshire, and it changed everything. A couple fall/winters ago I studied abroad in Thailand and learned more about myself and the world than I ever expected... it still feels like just yesterday.

PHILOSOPHY

Judging and discrimination is unnecessary at best, all people have a story and reasons for the way they are, and who they want to be. I hope to learn about people...the experiences they've had, good and bad.

I love meeting new people and finding out what it is that keeps them up at night and makes them excited to get up in the morning, what really moves them.

Interests

Local companies, I like hiking towards a destination, taking pictures of pretty little things, antiques and thrift stores, fresh foods, local products, small towns, seaside areas. I want to live in the country and raise children who love to climb trees.
