About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I like discovering new places, interesting and lovely people, and have fun whenever and wherever the chances are given. My mission has been to find my path for the past years, and I was lucky enough to have met wonderful people and get to know myself better.
ABOUT ME
I'm open-hearted, open-minded, and have a smile for everyone. As I'm growing older, I'm appreciating the simple stuff more. I like to listen and be, I like peace, nature, nice food and wine, and a good sense of humor.
I truly enjoy a good laugh and appreciate genuine, honest individuals. Also, I am not very interested in polite conversations. I am relatively nice, but I have my opinions, quiestions and doubts, and I like people of the same kind.
I believe life is beautiful and hard, and it's easy to get distracted from the real stuff by everyday life, so I try to be present.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
We should care for things that our heart and gut tells us, and not those things that we feel obliged to or we are told to feel or do. We are the ones who know what's the best for ourselves, and we need to enjoy our own lives not the others. I believe we should work on living a life full of love and empathy, in a way that doesn't hurt others, but helps them be happier and feel better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
On my ways everywhere I tell my friends and people I meet about CS, I kind of feel like a CS-priest sometimes :), and though for the first time most of them are kind of suspicious and find it funny or weird, after telling them more about it, almost all of them say: "eeer, yeah, it might be actually a good idea".
NOTE: CS is still not a dating site, and personally I'm definitely NOT searching for any adventure like that, so please respect it.
Also, needless to say, CS (and my home) is not a free hotel service. It is okay if you don't feel like socializing or going out or whatever, but let me know in advance what to expect. You'll be tired after a long journey and probably only want a nice shower when you arrive? Fine, I'll make you a cup of tea and you can go to bed whenever you want to. You want to see the city and have a party? Let me know so I can decide if I am down for it or not. Plus, when you are writing me a request, please greet me with a "Hello, Lilll" with as many L-s as you want :), so I will know that you've read through my profile! You'll have a much bigger chance then, seriously. I just turn down all the non-personal ones. CS is for making friends and get to know people, and if you don't put time in requests, you won't get much in return either.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Woohooo! I've collected a lot before I settled, and it was amazing! Now I think it's time for CS again! :)
I started my CS career as a host, and my first time was a very exciting one, so I kept doing it, although my city was not that popular as bigger ones can be. :)
Two years after my registration, my then boyfriend and I planned a round-trip through Serbia and Bulgaria to Turkey and then back through Greece, and it was looooads of fun, and we did CS for 3 weeks constantly! Thank you again, guys, you were awesome! :)
Then I went to work to the USA, and after my contract ended, I went on a US-trip on my own, and I met tons of lovely CS folks on my way! :) I even participated on my fist CouchCrash in Chicago, it was like a surreal dream :D.
I also used CS in Bosnia, then Turkey and Cyprus, then in Poland, and I went to France too, and I hope to grow old using it. :)
I have hosted guests from France (Yves), Estonia (Riho and Lille), Germany (Luca), UK (Peter), Ukraine (Tatiana and Slava) and Australia (Graham), and I should have written a list of the exact time and everything as many of you do, but my guests rather live in my memories than in notes. :)
Interests
I like feelings or moods rather than things - whether it's a journey you've been waiting for so long, new feelings, new tastes, time pausing when you read a good book, the moment you see a beautiful sight, the warmth and instant happiness of a hug, the mood when you listen to your favorite music, the feeling when you dance, and so on, but the most impressing is (human) nature.
Stuff I like:
- people - sources of fun, originality and knowledge
- books - same as above if you read them, and I'm into writing as well (I have two smallies already, and planning on writing one for kids now)
- learning - there's no need to explain this one
- music - because it makes life smooth and helps me through hard times
- travelling - getting away from to do lists and out my comfort zone, time to time - I guess some of you know very well what I mean. :)
- dance, yoga - activities that make me feel alive and happy, let me be yourself and forget the whole world
- languages - speaking different languages is priceless and I definitely want to learn as much as I can (not much right now, though). Now Russian is my first goal, then Spanish, can't wait!
- cooking and baking, because it's a magic how you can create marvellous things out of some simple ingredients and when you succeeded, by sharing it you make other people happy in a way! I'm eager for new recipes, methods and tastes, and I'm ready to cook/bake something Hungarian for you as well!
- I am not into partying hard - although sometimes I'm in the mood, and I love to dance my shoes off, normally I prefer fun people's company and interesting conversations without all the hassle of going to clubs.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite films are mostly comedies, dramas, romantic stuff, and others, but I am not keen on bloody horrors and the "Indiana Jones-style" :) Or...well, that is the past. After watching series and movies with my ex-boyfriend, walkers and meth producers jumped into my life... though I never really got used to them. :D
On my very best of list Forrest Gump has got the first place, and I just won't explain why. :)
I also love Snatch, The Green Mile, Shrek, Ice Age, Dirty dancing, 300, The Lord of the Rings-trilogy (also loved the books), and a lot of other ones. (Oh, God, this is an old list, I gotta update it)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm still working on it...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my thoughts, experience, questions, doubts, ideas (if you're interested, but you don't have to be).
But I can also share silence. Meals. A laugh. A bottle of wine.
