I am currently in the process of moving to Vienna to study and practice my German (which is pretty terrible at the moment), which is why I can't host.

I am a friendly person who can enjoys both quiet and a party depending on my mood.
I'm an artist and budding art theorist/philosopher, I love to understand complex ideas.
I 'm a little bit of a music nerd, I like talking about it and listening to it and sharing it.
I grew up in the hospitality industry and subsequently enjoy cooking and entertaining. I love a good wine, beer or coffee.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Surfing
=====
I much prefer to stay with family or friends when I travel, not because I don't want to be put out of my comfort zone, but because staying with locals gives you a truer sense of how others live.
As an extension of that idea, couch surfing allows me to understand a country and culture better by spending some time with the people that exist with it on a daily basis.

Hosting
======
I grew up in a household which always hosted guests from international family to my teenage friends to those who were in need.
Unfortunately in Sydney I wasn't in a position to host due to my living arrangements, but I have always been ready to help couchsurfers around the city.
Hopefully this will all change when my girlfriend and I are settled in Vienna, where we plan to have a room dedicated to hosting couchsurfers and family/friends.

My main interests are contemporary art, music and philosophy, but really I'm interested in most things if people are passionate about them.

My favourite movie is the documentary about Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child - He is also my favourite artist.
I read a lot of books about art and artists.
I have a soft spot for biopic movies about musicians think Ray, Walk The Line, Etc.
I love all kinds of music but I'm particularly taken with things that straddle a few different genres.
I've never quite grown out of my obsession with Batman. But I try to keep it secret.

I've achieved almost every major life goal that I have set myself so far. Moving to Vienna will be my next one.
