ABOUT ME

My favourite thing is to not just travel, but hostel while I do it. Meeting people is probably the biggest buzz I get out of all my vices and hostelling provides it. I'm new to CS, but looking forward to trying it as a different way to plugging into a person's lifestyle and surroundings, and hopefully them into mine...! :-)
Update, Sept 2011 - I've now hosted a couchsurfer, it was fucking brilliant. It's so nice to show someone round your city, no matter how crap it is, and see them enjoy these new sights. I now look forward to seeing other cities / places through other people's eyes, and again sharing my city / knowledge with other people's desires!! :-)

PHILOSOPHY

People live to find another person. They should have sex with them, fall in love, have kids, go to the park feed the ducks with them, eat ice cream while there, have some more sex, go to nice restaurants, maybe a bit more sex when they get back, then try to live happily ever after with their family before they pass away old and wise :-)
...having as much sex as possible during this journey.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't done anything yet, sorry, but plan to kick off things in Ukraine / Russia, where I can put on my party pants and hopefully fuel my host along for the ride!!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfing on someone's couch for me, so far, has largely consisted of me waking up at a friends house with a headache, but I hope this will change shortly.
Update Oct 2011 - Been there, done it. Got the 'I heart couchsurfing' t-shirt :-)

Sun sets in the West. While visiting a city on a sunny day, if you know the time, you can hopefully navigate in the right direction by way of the sun - this simple little fact can be surprisingly helpful when lost WITH a map.
Probably not relevant - My uncle used to be a postman, but now he's retired, he just walks the streets.

Oct 2015 - I currently live in Bocas del Toro, Panama, in The Caribbean Sea. I have a small apartment with some floor space with mattresses for upto about 2 people, and a 35 foot sailboat/yacht than can sleep another 4. While I renovate the yacht upto hopefully exceptional standards (!) I would like to welcome the right people to come and share this nice Caribbean experience on the water, and in this high octane / interesting / beautiful archipelago of islands known locally as 'Bocas'.
