Resumen
Sobre mí
Whenever I had the opportunity, I always liked to travel, but for some reason haven't made it to couch surfing earlier.
Better late then never, I guess.
During high school time, I had the chance to spent my grade 11 in British Columbia, Canada. From the experiences I gained with my very welcoming Canadian host family and international friends, I would never want to have missed this time.
This is also one reason for going 'abroad' again for my Master studies. Although I 'only' went to Denmark which is geographically and culture wise not too far from northern Germany, I still ended up meeting people from very different parts of the world.
A philosophy of my life is that we who have all these opportunities of travelling and exploring the world can feel pretty spoiled, but would be stupid not to take advantage of it.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
Watching the news regularly gives quite a negative picture of the world which I would like sweeten up by meeting exchanging experiences with people like you and me.
In other words: The world gets more familiar and less intimidating the more we share it with one another.
Intereses
Outdoor activities of many kinds, preferably in the mountains.
I like hiking and mountaineering and usually spend a week of every winter in the Alps for snowboarding.
In everyday life, I am a passionate biker (bicycle) also in the rain.
Further, I'm interested in politics and like to hear peoples views over situations in their own countries.

Enseña, aprende, comparte
During my youth I've taught unicycling to younger girls but this may not be what the average couchsurfer likes to learn. Alternatively, I could teach some German or English and I'm not too bad at baking cakes/cookies/bread in case this is not par to of your culture.
Learning languages is something I consider as a hobby. My latest language is Danish, I've tried Mandarin (but haven't gotten to a secure level) and my plan is to learn French in the future which I have missed out on so far.
I like to learn about cultures, history, everybodies truth and meaning in life, travel experiences and favorite places.
Something I like to share with people is my love for nature, mountains and snow, experiences, cooking and eating, Hamburg and northern Germany (which doesn't have any mountains) and maybe future cities I will live in.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
As a suburb of Hamburg, Rellingen offers public transportation by which the Center of Hamburg can be reached in about 40 min.
Hamburg is a beautiful northern German harbour city influenced by it's long trading tradition. Water is omnipresent, be it the river Elbe which is wide enough for most of the worlds largest container ships or the multiple channels of the river Alster used recreationally by many Hamburgers for canoe or rowing trips.
I'd be happy show you around the waterfront area at the Elbe from where Hamburg's harbour can be seen and which is in close reach of many other sights to see such as the old storage houses in the Speicherstadt, 2 museum ships, an old tunnel underneath the river and many more.
To previous visitors, I have also shown the City centre with Shopping streets, the City hall and many Christmas markets during the December as well as the Kiez, Hamburgs main place to go out at night.
Apart from that, I like sharing any experiences of travelling or living in foreign counrties, can recommend (northern) German dishes and like to cook at home as well.
