Welcome to my introduction letter 😉
I am Lina, originally from the north of Germany "ein Nordlicht" we would say in german. I just finished my studies in Bayreuth, Bavaria and now I am on my way travelling the world.

One of the reasons I am here is, that I love travelling and meeting new people. Therefore, I started using hangouts througout my smaller travels. As I am quite new here (I have this account longer than I actually used it actively), I have not much expirience in couchsurfing, but I look forward to changing this.

Some quick summary of what I like/do:
meeting friends | learning new stuff | being creative in different ways (sewing, drawing, building a bed ...) | reading | playing musik instruments (please don't expect too much on this regard;)) | skiing and snowboarding (just started the last) | surfing (just one experience but want to repeat it) | playing spikeball ...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is what I love (just started travelling around the world), to get to know more cultures, cities and most of all, all the different people with their different mindsets. I want to learn and grow and be inspired by these future experiences.
Of course I also would like to have a place to sleep while travelling, as a lot of you do. I think, this is a really nice way to meet locals, to meet and get to know you and your way of life. I'd love to exchange storys and expieriences while cooking dinner together or just by spending time together!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of fantasy movies and books, as well of romantik history romans (I love happy endings and beautiful dresses - I know it's a bit girlish :D ). My favourit fantasy books are the series Eragon by Christopher Paolini and of course Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. But right now I am more into romantic books like the series Bridgerton by Julia Quinn.
I also started to read more nonfiction books to educate myself further in different areas.

My musiktaste is wide spread. Normally I am open to everything. The only thing I am not in that much, is techno and metall. But maybe you can change my mind about that ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In March 2022 I hitchhiked for the first time in my life! (Together with a friend, as I was afraid of doing it alone) But it was amazing. We got to know so many nice and helpful people. Sometimes we didn't even have to wait 2 minutes. That was crazy. I would recommend everyone to try it once in their lifetimes!

Another amazing experience is, not knowing where to go, just go with the flow and don't plan too much. Everything will turn out just right. There are so many nice and helpful people out there!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think we all have already learned a lot of things we are not aware of. We only realise it, when needed. So, I am happy to share all my knowledge with you. It will come up, during our talks.

I always try to help if I can. I experienced so much kindeness and help on my journey so far, I want to give this back! Little things - they can make a big difference.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I just have what fits into my backpack and me, but that what I have I love to share. Be that some good deep talk, shared meals or just a shared silent minute.

If I get something in one place I try to give back at least as much at another place.
