About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Keep the traveling bug alive, and meet new people when and wherever possible!
ABOUT ME
I am a pretty low maintenance person overall, and am up for whatever happens to be going on in the vicinity. I really enjoy people and having company, but I can appreciate time alone as well. I lead an active lifestyle and like to surround myself with people who are the same way. I was given the opportunity to travel a lot as a kid, and have been constantly planning trips since then. Friendly, outgoing, laugh at everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My history with Couchsuring has primarily been as a surfer, but whenever possible I like to host as well. The community has been unbelievably kind to me, and I am hoping to pay back even a small fraction of that kindness.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in Costa Rica, California, and throughout the southern United States
Interests
The outdoors keep the rest of my life balanced and my sanity intact. In keeping with this, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether it be farming, hiking, yoga, working, reading, or just enjoying a meal.
I walk a lot, and would rather spend two hours getting somewhere walking than 20 minutes driving to the same destination. I intermittently get really into running, and have a done a few long-distance races. I also intermittently hate the entire idea and execution of the sport of running, so there's that too. During the summers I work as a wildland firefighter, and in the winter I try to feel useful :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Avett Brothers, The Black Keys, Shakey Graves, Cloud Cult, Steve Earle, The Roots, The Fugees. Kind of all over the place, and I'm definitely up to listen to anything.
Books: Adventure stories always peak my interest to keep traveling. I've read a lot of Kurt Vonnegut. I just finished a book about space travel. And one about organic agriculture. Again, I will pretty much read anything that falls into my lap.
Movies: The only thing I can't really handle is horror. If it's well-done I get scared shitless, and if it's poorly done it's a giant waste of my time. I do, however, love thrillers. Shutter Island is definitely up there on the list of all-time favorites.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Food, getting to know Missoula a little bit, coffee, a few couches, and hopefully a good time!
