About Me

I was born in a small city in Colombia, just in the coffee production center of the country.

My friends would describe as a disciplined and responsible person, and that kind of boring stuff but at the same time I can be laid-back, funny, animated and cheerful.

I have an inappropriate sense of humor that can be offensive to some people, but the ones who do appreciate it, have a good time around me.

Interests

I really enjoy studying languages, I've studied English, German (which is almost completely forgotten), Portuguese and Mandarin.

Although I'm not the best dancer ever I really like dancing, whatever "danceable" music may be ok for me.

When I feel like it, I do some partying and drinking,I like dark beers, wine ad Gin.

I'm interested in trying every kinds of food, even strange ones, I love discovering new flavors.

I really enjoy outdoors activities although I don't do them very often, would like to have the opportunity to go camping, rafting, biking, hiking, diving....long etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many types of music, depends on my mood or in the ocassion, from rock, pop 80's and 90's hits to latin music like salsa and merengue, even the infamous reggeton, that's so popular in Latin America and is great for partying. Lately I've been listening Brazilian music (bossa nova, samba, pagode)

Some of my favorite books are: Crime and Punishment (Dostoyevsky), The Name of the Rose (Umberto Eco), La Bruja (Germán Castro Caycedo, The Joke (Milan Kundera), Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden), and so many others that I won't list right now...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my hometown Manizales: Had the opportunity to see the amazing view of the snow mountain (Nevado del Ruiz) in the early mornings when I was on my way to school.

Walked for about an hour through a cave, in which a river was flowing in. Afterwards jumped from an 8 meter high platform into that same river (Rio Claro, Colombia).

Had wine and Yak cheese in Shangri-la, with a Brazilian Friend, while we we were chatting with two Tibetan guys in Chinese Mandarin.

Went to the stadium and saw how the local football soccer team, Once Caldas win over the Argentinian team Boca Juniors on Copa Libertadores; considering how bad Colombian soccer is this was quite an accomplishment

Had the chance to scuba-dive in beautiful El Nido, Philippines, words cannot describe the beauty and the magnificence of this experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well... I can teach some Spanish for sure, or colombian slang to be more specific hahaha.

I can also teach basic steps of Salsa, Merengue and Reggeton.

I can cook some vegetarian food, my Mexican tomato soup is specially good.
