About Me

I am a 23 year old Algerian-Canadian girl, currently rootless and travelling. I have an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a masters degree in Music technology. I absolutely love travelling, I have been to 29 countries so far and am hoping to cross off many more this year and next year. I also love going to concerts and bars, animals, movies, food, and music.

I'm quite an active person, I enjoy going to the gym, bike rides, hikes, and swimming. I don't play many sports, but love kickboxing and beach volleyball, and love love love watching football.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a great opportunity to meet people/locals while in a new city, plus it's great to save some money! As a student new to Europe, I don't want to pass up opportunities for travelling because it's expensive. I love meeting new people and learning about new cultures so this is a great platform to do so.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is Across the Universe, and my favourite show is The Office (the US version, sorry brits, Steve Carell's unbeatable).

I usually stick to non-fiction books, currently Van Gogh's biography.

I truly love all kinds of music, but I mainly gravitate towards indie rock, traditional Western folk, EDM, and pop. My favourite band is Bastille, and some of my top artists are Passenger, Jon Bellion, Hozier, City and Colour, Bob Dylan, Sam Cooke, Martin Garrix, and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once drove to a city 5 hours away for a concert the night before a final exam, drove back in the middle of the night, and got a 95% on the exam. Pretty proud of that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share some great recipes or insight on the cultures/languages I'm familiar with :)
