Overview
About Me
I'm from Latvia, studying Sport Science.
I love:
-animals (especially dogs, they are just awesome);
-cooking (the relationship between me and food is something special);
-sports (it would be weird not to, I'm a tennis coach after all);
-hiking, trekking (nature is my kind of meditation);
-travelling (new places, new food and new people bring ne joy).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is more interesting with people who know the area or with whom you can explore it. That is how you get the best memories!
After having some kind of experience in CS, I realize how much fun it can be!
Interests
The more I travel, the more I understand that in the end I want to be in the nature - water, mountains, forests and so on. The thought of being somewhere new and unknown gives me goosbumps.
I also love to cook. My speciality? Cakes. Definitely something with chocolate.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- AltJ, Tame Impala, the Lumineers, Brainstorm (Latvian group), Bring Me The Horizon, Rammstein, Maneskin and pretty much everything from the 80s.
Movies - Unbroken, Eddie the Eagle, Stuck in Love.
Books - Serve to Win (does it count haha?) and now I'm reading Anne Frank.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was exploring Hungary with my friend. I looked in google maps, that in one of the cities you can cross a bridge and go to Slovakia. Of course, we did it (being in two places at the same time - check). But what's next? Let's go to Bratislava? It's 150km away, 7.00 pm and we are in a small town where is no bus to Bratislava... Well nevertheless at 10.00 pm we were in Bratislava without a clue where to stay, if there is a hostel (couchsurfing was unknown for me) and with an almost dead phone.
It was one of the funniest and most spontaneous trips so far.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you tennis and how to make a Latvian cake (it's a classic).
It would be amazing to learn different languages and also traditions which are important to you or specific to your country (that's the most important thing for me when I travel!).
Depends on where I am and the situation - I can share my cooking skills; I have some cool stories to tell; also my driving skills are pretty good, so I'm always in for a roadtrip.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can:
share some funny and weird stories;
give advice which is related to physical education;
show you my cooking skills and share my recipes, because food makes people happy, right?
If there is enough time, I will be happy to show you my favourite places in Latvia or at least in Riga.
