About Me
PLEASE READ TRANSPORTTION SECTION IN HOME PROFILE!!
My husband and I are curious, easy going and up for new adventures. We are retired US citizens living the dream in beautiful Panama. We take things in stride and go with the flow. You have to go with the flow if you are going to be married 30+ years like us.
We have traveled to many places and want to keep traveling and meeting new people. We read a lot; like to listen to music; see new movies and of course do our hobbies listed below.
We live about 2 hours west of Panama City up in mountains. Unfortunately Panama does not have home mail service so Couchserfing can not verify our address.
We are non-smoking. We like to have the occasional drink and have been known to “tie-one on” when the circumstances allow. We like to go out to restaurants, shows and concerts.
Have traveled to many countries (see list) and 45 of the 50 US states.
The pictures of the valley and tropical rain forest are our house and neighborhood. The waterfall is in our neighborhood. The beach is nearby too.
I grew up traveling and have had the bug ever since. My father worked in airline reservations most of my life. He started with AA in 1947. I got to travel by air when it was still glamourous, and fun. Flown in DC6, French Nord (nicknamed the guppy), most Boeing and McDonald Douglas commercial aircraft.
During the cold war I was a Russian linguist in Berlin, then an airline reservationist, then moved on to my final niche in the financial system area.
My husband was an electrical engineer/systems engineer. He loves physics, mathematics and philosophy and would love to discuss these topics with people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We want to continue traveling as long as we can. We also enjoy meeting new people.
We think Panama is a beautiful place and love to share it with others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It is hard to choose: Seeing the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, the Redwoods, Pompei, the Blue Mosque, Ephesis. Being in Time Square the first New Years Eve after 9/11.
In the 1970's, seeing a 747 land for the first time when it was doing its test flights. There had not been another commercial plane that large. Seeing 27 747s lined up on the tarmac waiting to take off from O’Hare airport. Yes, there were flight delays even back in the 70’s. Taking JAL first class on a 747 from LAX to Tokoyo back when there was a bar and lounge in the upper deck. That was style.
Oh, and can’t forget - giving birth.
