ABOUT ME
Hey, so what is to know about me?! I like, no wait, I looooove travelling and seeing different cultures! No wonder, with my weird background I must love it ;-) I was born and raised in Switzerland and my dad is Swiss and my mum is British. Though the rest of my family is culturally totally mixed as well!

After my education in Switzerland I left to go abroad and lived 4 years in Ireland, where I studied and worked. After that I lived with friends in China and where I did my best to teach English to Chinese teenagers and travelled China for totally 6 months. My plan after that was to travel "the long way around the world" back home to Switzerland. But as always, plans do not always follow through as you have planned them to.... I meet my partner in Melbourne, where I was living for 6 years. Now the 2 of us are living a little while in the UK, before we are planning to move back to Australia by the end of this year.

I would consider myself as clean, open minded, easy going, creative, optimistic with realistic tendencies, sometimes a little bit shy - but not introverted at all (does that make any sense?). Though that is enough talking for now... if there is any request, just ask! :-)

PHILOSOPHY
Ships are safe in harbours. But that is not what ships are built for.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I used to be very active on couch surfing a few years ago when I was first travelling myself and then hosting. The community was super strong and I went to several meetups too and still got some good friends from that time. I definitely made so many lovely connections over the years...

When I was living in Ireland I used to be a huge movie and music buff and went to many concerts. I have slowed down a bit, but still enjoy a nice night out or a good movie/netflix at home.

I like a good novel, though I prefer to read non-fiction books (like travel guides, book about photography, etc).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I accidentally saw the Dalai Lama at the Airport in New Deli... I literally bumped into him and his bodyguards. What are the chances - China is trying to find him for years, and on my first visit to India I see him! :-p
