About Me
Hello,
I am a Dutch girl who is completely in love with travelling. I am always interested in seeing the world and meet new people. You hear so much about stereotypes from cultures; I love to learn which ones are true and which ones aren't. I like to keep an open mind I try to make up my opinion when I have more information. I am very interested in politics as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Using couchsurfing makes it better possible to see the world, since travelguides focus on the generic and travelling is quite expensive . Couchsurfing has made the best combination of both available; share knowledge about a place and culture to get off the beaten path, and share our spare rooms to help each other with our budgets.
I come from a small town and recently moved (back) to Gorinchem, a small sized city. I love to show also the places around my old town if people are interested, since those remote places are awesome and beautiful, but very hard to reach by public transport. I mean, my country is very small so basically nothing is remote, but can be hard to reach. Just send a request and I'll be so happy to host and show you around! :)
Interests
I am working as an Online Marketeer for IVECO in the Netherlands. I really love my job and it turned out I really like trucks, transportation and Dakar Rally more than I at first expected.
When exploring I like to take my time, walk around, sit down for a coffee, take pictures and talk about whatever comes to mind. I'm pretty direct and am not scared of asking questions that might be personal or unconventional, but I always leave it up to you if you want to answer the question and I understand if you don't.
I am most interested in nature, history and architecture. I'm not so much of a museum person, unless it's about history or something highly uncommon and there's nothing else quite like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jump from Porto’s Ponte de Luis bridge into the Douro river, with some of my best friends I’ve met there! It was an absolutely amazing feeling when we did it, and it was highly irresponsible when I look back at it. I am very thankful we all stayed okay.
