About Me

Hey,
I am Linda, 24 y/o and from Germany. I usually study biotechnology in Dresden, but for the upcoming weeks I will travel through northern and eastern Europe. Since I have been an on-and-off traveler for 5 years now, I've collected many great experiences through Couchsurfing and eager to collect many more. For good talks, activities, local tips and tricks, I am open for anything really!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I have mentioned above, I strive to get to know as many new people/ways of living as possible, so far I have been mainly traveling in South-east Asia.
Also to be honest: As a really broke student I can‘t afford to always visit hostels or hotels :D

Interests

Art, Music, Culture, Animals, Socializing, Sustainability...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to music, especially to Indie, Rock and Folk. At the moment I my most listened artists are Everything Everything, Foals and Two Door Cinema Club. My favorite films are pretty much all films from studio Ghibli, Big Eyes, Anatomy of a Fall, and Leon the Professional. Some of my favorite books are "The Physician " and "When Nietzsche wept".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's a tough one. I've been hiking through forest fires in the Yosemite national park, went on a boat trip in northern Germany, shared a room with some lovely Vietnamese students over Couchsurfing, lived in Hanoi for 6 months, and learned to surf there. Just recently lived in Norway for 3 months, where I was busy with an internship but also busy counting all the waterfalls on amazing hikes. Happy to share more details of my experiences with whoever I meet, but even more excited to hear other peoples stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am keen on learning as many different ways to live and people as possible to get a greater understanding of the diversity of all the people around the world. Besides all of the scientific things I am taking a look at in university, that might be interesting to some and something to avoid for others, I am quite good in art/painting and willing to share whatever I know. Also, I have gathered some acrobatic yoga skills along the way which I can try to teach people :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Loads of good chats, one of my three go-to-recipes (simple but delicious) for a cozy shared dinner or any of the activities I was talking about further up;)
