About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Comprehending the difference between true happiness and enlightenment

ABOUT ME

Artist-researcher fascinated by atmospheres and inner spaces

LOVE IS ALL, PERCEPTION IS TEMPORARY.

We have two little kids, who are the greatest teachers and challengers of precisely this lesson.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS EXPERIENCE

Ages ago in india, Nepal and South america before there was any system to surfing and had the best times there. Much later there were couches in Europe and Taiwan, and some lovely mattresses in the North Pacific Islands, island style, of course! More recently we hosted heaps back in Melbourne, Vienna, Singapore and Phu Quoc as well, which was always excellent.

Interests

Conceptual art & good tunes when home, yoga & med, roughing it when travelling... with a focus on sustainable lifestyle. Nowadays much wonderful horticulture therapy, a.k.a. gardening.
In my head, I try to make space for experimental film & installations, and more recently also architecture and general design, for something on the lighter side...

Music, Movies, and Books

From experimental sound to live guitar and reggae chill, but more specifically maybe the Smashing Pumpkins, Talvin Singh, Nitin Sawhney, the Doors, Philipp Glass, Palestrina, Mum, Sigur ros, Cat Power, El Camaron, Mr bungle, Krishna Das, Ravi Shankar, Nine inch Nails, Caravasar, Jeff Buckley, the Cat Empire, Tori Amos and surely many more...

Writers I'd love to meet one day include Neale Donald Walsh, Tom Robbins, Richard Bach, Haruki Murakami, Jostein Gaarder andJames Redfield, whilst taking up contact with the spirits of Michael Ende, Osho, Peter Ouspensky and Roald Dahl.

If i ever bought myself a tv, I'd repeatedly watch all Werner Herzog, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Waking Life, Dead Man, Andrei Rublev, The Fall, Donnie Darko, Vengo, Play Time, Kundun and of course our dodgy home-made video recordings of past times...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the glacier volcano Cotopaxi in Ecuador with my friend, summiting at 6000 meters, then him snowboarding down with me photographing him. It was only us two, since no others on the exposed south face. After 10 days I was glad to return alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

Here's a small selection of the infinite sea of possibilities:

I can teach you all about your camera's manual settings, i.e. how to use your camera intelligently, singing swedish lullabies and how to challenge yourself in a zentai suit!

Maybe someone can help me improve my singing? In addition, I'd love to learn more about speed reading, lucid dreaming and lemuria.

Always love to share music jams, contact improv, and of course the good old beautiful, co-created home-cooked meal!
