About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Wander the world and see as much of it as I can and meet new friends along the way.
ABOUT ME
I love to laugh. I'm very outgoing and don't act my age. My husband is more quiet and serious. I'm more the "Amazing Race" type and he's the "Jeopardy" type. We live outside Washington, DC, near Annapolis, MD. We have previously lived in Italy for 3 years. My husband is retired and was in the Navy, and IT consultant. We have always had an open house and have hosted people from around the world and all ages prior to joining CS. We also sponsor Midshipman from the Naval Academy in Annapolis (we're a home away from home). We love to travel and love to meet people from all over the world.
We enjoy people from all ages and backgrounds.
PHILOSOPHY
I have always lived by the motto; "If you don't ask the answer is no!" That being said, I have had wonderful opportunities and experiences. Plus, I've made some great deals along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love where we live and I enjoy showing showing people around if schedule permits. We also like to hear about the travels of others. We have always been a very global family and enjoy anything to do with travel. I've been told I'm a good cook!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted and it has been great fun! You learn so much from others and pick up great ideas and suggestions. We are still waiting to experience our own CouchSurfing.
Interests
TRAVEL, love to, every opportunity we get. I'm a great shopper and love to find those "bargains" that no one else can seem to find. There's always something going on in our area and we attend local events. I LOVE to cook and and more than happy to provide dinners. I grew up on the Oregon coast and love the beach in every season.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love any kind of comedy and adventure movies. My husband loves anything "Alien." I love music from Adele, Duffy, Coldplay, Maroon 5 and others. My husband has a rather eclectic taste in music. He has over 3,000 albums that run from Beatles to you name it. Of course they're in boxes alphabetized and stored away at the moment. He has a rather large CD collection now.
I like to read books that take me away from the daily grind. I loved the DaVinci Code, and Angels and Demons. I like James Patterson's Alex Cross books and Nelson DeMille. I really like travel magazines and read the Budget Traveler from cover to cover as well s Travel and Leisure.
My new favorite movie is Salmon Fishing in Yemen.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently did the Catapult in Queenstown, New Zealand and it was AMAZING!!!! 100kph in 1.5 seconds!
Traveling in the outback of Australia, snorkeling in the Barrier Reef, seeing the northern lights in Alaska, making it to the top of the Zugspitze in Germany, sunrise at Haleakala on Maui and many more wonderful experiences. Hard to pick just one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share our little part of the world with other people. If available I can play tour guide. I am a decent cook and can provide a meal or 2.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are clean (pick up after ourselves), non-smokers and are quite adventurous. We can help with any pets if needed. We have some great travel stories to share and can even bring the wine. We'd like to hear about your experiences traveling. I'm very outgoing and my husband is on the quiet side. We like to engage our host's when possible to learn about the area we are staying.
