After obtaining bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Political Science in the Netherlands, I left the country to travel, work and study in a range of places spread over four continents. I have however always been coming back to the Middle East and after finishing a master’s in Global Studies I lived in Palestine, Egypt, Tunisia, Dubai and Oman. I’m interested in cultures, religions, philosophy, history and art and my hobbies are photography, graphic design and languages.

Depends on where I live, as listening to music and reading books from the country I'm in helps me fully immerse. Current favorites are Naguib Mahfouz and Ghassan Kanafani.
