About Me

PLEASE READ MY FULL PROFILE BEFORE SENDING ME A REQUEST OTHERWISE YOU WILL RECEIVE A RATHER CURT MESSAGE!!!

Having done a bit of Couchsurfing whilst at university I'm keen to start again now I've found my feet in London! I have lived here for over a year now and it's truly incredible, I would love for visitors to discover the same magical things about it I've seen because that's what I would expect in return if I were in a new country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Obviously I love travelling and meeting new people. I'm open to most cultural experiences and trying cool new things. Although I'm not in a position to host since I share a small flat, I'd love to meet fellow Couchsurfers in London!

Music, Movies, and Books

With music, I keep an open mind - pop for going out; indie for staying in; classical for working; jazz for chill times; and rock is perfect for anything :) Same with films but comedies, no matter how crude, are my favourites!

I love reading George Orwell and other similar gritty stuff. Non-fiction or something that contains true-to-life elements such The Curious Incident etc. by Mark Haddon, Eat, Love, Pray by Elizabeth Gilbert and Breaking Night by Liz Murray.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I saw the Pyrenées: I had just moved to Pau in the south west of France (I still live there) and was lucky enough to find a place in the heart of the town between old and new town. As I walked down the street from my apartment towards the 'Boulevard des Pyrenées', I caught a glimpse of the mountains. It was an unusually hot September day and there literally wasn't a cloud in the sky. And there they were, standing proudly against the striking azure-blue sky. It was then I realised just how lucky I was to be living there this year.

I went to see 'The Lion King' on New Year's Day 2011 with my best friend in London's West End. It had always been one of my favourite Disney movies and was somewhat an obsession when I was little so it was a dream come true when I got my tickets to go and see it live. From the opening scene, my jaw was on the floor; I was spellbound. The actors captured the magic of the jungle and the animals so well, I nearly cried. It rendered me nostalgic for my childhood; a truly cathartic effect that no show has ever had on me.
